Welcome to FHC!
We are a Homeschool Support Group in Gainesville, Virginia, that seeks to connect homeschool families through social events and assist families that need help with academics. To accomplish this, we offer monthly meet-ups, weekly recess, and in-person classes. In-person classes require registration each year. We use Abeka curriculum for math and language arts.

Homeschool Recess Every Thursday SEPT - MAY
Weather permitting, recess for all homeschool students is held every Thursday from 12:30-1:10 at Apostolic Faith Church. Students may play on the playground or join in one of the organized games planned each week. Students are grouped by grade for organized games: lower elementary, upper elementary and middle/high school. There is no need to register ahead of time, just check in at the registration table when you arrive.
Spring Enrichment Classes Begin February 6
Our spring enrichment classes will begin on Thursday, February 6. Registration for these classes begins Thursday, January 9. For more information, please click HERE.
Homeschool Seminar - Thursday, March 6
We will be hosting a Homeschool Seminar on Thursday, March 6. Our guest speakers will be Bruce & Jami Borlik from Indiana. They successfully homeschooled their three children through highschool graduation. They in turn saw their children get accepted into multiple colleges and have had a front row seat to watching their children live out their dreams. In addition to a parent's seminar, they will also perform an entertaining skit for all ages. Make plans now to attend this free event.
